The Carinthian University of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of courses in the fields of technology, business, health and so-
cial sciences. A common feature of all areas is the practical and application-oriented focus of teaching and research as well as the
close cooperation between public institutions, business and science. General information about our study programs, research
activities and the organization of the university can be found on our homepage
www.fh-kaernten.at.
In the School of “Civil Engineering & Architecture” in the study program “Civil Engineering” we are open-
ing a
Researcher position in Structural Concrete (m/f/d)
Research group and project embedment
The position is embedded in the research group “FuCoSo” – “Future Concrete Solutions” and mainly financed
via an FFG-funded project dealing with climate friendly modular building approaches (“SCORE” – “Sustaina-
ble reduction of CO2 emissions using precast modular Reinforcing Elements”).
More in detail, project SCORE aims to develop high-performance precast modular elements to reduce the
construction sector's environmental impact by maximizing the efficiency of high-performance concrete ma-
terials and extending the lifespan of structures. These elements will be made using Ultra-High-Performance
Concrete (UHPC) and Fibre/Textile Reinforced Concrete (F/TRC) technologies, suitable for both new and ex-
isting buildings. The university’s civil engineering lab provides excellent testing facilities for such purpose.
PhD candidates are welcome and obtaining a doctoral degree is supported.
