Professorship for “Industrial Power Electronics” (m/f/d)
We are looking for a highly qualified academic professional to represent and contribute to our research and
educational area of Power Electronics.
Your Tasks
•
Teaching in the field of power electronic components, systems and circuits, as well as associated advising and
mentoring of students with an interest in incorporating sustainable and green technologies in power electronics
Supervision of students at Bachelor and Master levels
Independent research in industrial power electronics with the aim of leading a research group
Acquisition and management of national and international funded projects
Taking on organizational and administrative activities (part of academic self-administration)
Contribution to the professional profiling and further development of the study programs
Representing the university in regional and international partnerships and in cooperation with public administra-
tion, business, and the scientific community

Your Profile
•
Relevant doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with focus on Power Electronics or an equivalent
qualification

Experience in acquisition and management of cooperative research & funding projects
Teaching experience and didactic competence at university level
Experience in initiating, managing, and implementing externally funded projects
Several years of relevant professional experience and a strong affinity for research and knowledge transfer
Established network in the relevant scientific community and electronics/semiconductor industry
High scientific output and track record (publications, research projects) in the field of power electronics
Analytical and structured thinking and acting, creativity in solution finding, adaptability and flexibility
Didactical skills and enthusiasm in teaching
Strong self-management skills as well as a high level of commitment, ability to work in a team, and willingness
to collaborate across disciplines
